About sleep

Sleep is one of our basic needs. Nevertheless, many people suffer from sleep problems. The results of insomnia studies show, among other things, that lack of sleep can affect our memory, our cognitive functions and even our hormones. Insomnia is associated with obesity and the need to eat a high-calorie diet. We believe that when it comes to sleep problems, it is better to prevent them than to treat them.
That's why we give you some of our favorite sleeping tips:

  • Create your own sleeping ritual, try to go to bed at the same time every night, drink relaxing herbal tea in the evening, try to avoid snacking after dinner, especially that with sugar.
  • If you can't stay without food, take something warm or light. Wear comfortable, loose clothing. Make sure the bedroom is well ventilated and keep the room temperature low.
  • Do not use the bedroom as a study or television room. Leave electronic devices out of the bedroom. For example, electromagnetic radiation from mobile phones slows down and interferes with falling asleep. The so-called blue light from electrical appliances activates the brain.
  • And finally: breathe!
Breathing exercises can help relax the mind. Before going to bed, take a moment to feel your breath and try to take a deep breath. Learn to control your breath step by step, as this can calm your mind and release pressure in your body.
